Creating a Trip in ManageNEMT
Overview
As a Dispatcher, you are responsible for scheduling trips for riders. This guide walks you through the step-by-step process of creating a new trip in ManageNEMT.
Step 1: Select the Rider
- In the Rider field, search for the rider by name.
- If the rider is new, the system will display a "Create A Rider" option. Click this to add a new rider.
Step 2: Choose a Broker
- The Broker field will default to the Default Broker.
- If the trip needs to be billed to a different broker, select the appropriate one from the list.
Step 3: Set Rider Mobility
- Choose the rider’s Mobility Type:
- Ambulatory
- Wheelchair
- Lift
- Stretcher
- If the rider does not have a wheelchair but requires one, click the "Provide Wheelchair"button.
- This notifies dispatchers and alerts the driver in-app that a wheelchair is needed.
Step 4: Select Service Type
- Choose the Service Type:
- Curb to Curb
- Door to Door
- Door Through Door
Step 5: Enter Requestor Information (If Applicable)
- If the trip is being requested by someone other than the rider, expand the "Requested By" field.
- Enter the requestor’s name and contact details.
Step 6: Enter Trip Details
- From Field – Enter the rider’s Pickup Location.
- To Field – Enter the rider’s Destination.
- Pickup Time – Set the Date and Time for pickup.
- Appointment Time – If applicable, enter the scheduled appointment time.
Step 7: Add Notes (Optional)
- Dispatcher Notes – Notes visible only to dispatchers for internal communication.
- Driver Notes – Notes visible to both dispatchers and drivers. Use this to communicate important trip details to the driver.
Step 8: Add Guests (If Any)
- If the rider has Guests, click the "+" button to add them.
- Select the Mobility Type for each guest (e.g., Ambulatory, Wheelchair).
Step 9: Set Round Trip (If Needed)
- If the trip is a Round Trip, check the "Round Trip"button.
- This automatically reverses the pickup and drop-off addresses.
- Enter the Return Pickup Time or select "Will Call" if the return time is uncertain.
Step 10: Review & Save the Trip
- Double-check all entered information.
- Click Save Changes to finalize the trip.
